Fostering a global community of young leaders through global research exchanges, cross-cultural collaboration and academic excellence.
Thanks to the generous financial support of $10 million from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and $2.5 million from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the QES program expanded its reach to support doctoral researchers, post-doctoral fellows and early career researchers from Canada and Low-and-Middle Income countries (LMICs) to develop solutions to complex national and global challenges. The QES-Advanced Scholars (AS) Program focuses on strengthening the institutional capacity of partners from the Global South. It is expected to engage approximately 420 researchers in international research projects, contributing to improved global talent exchange between Canada and other nations.
Through a unique partnership with Rideau Hall Foundation, the Government of Canada, provincial governments, the private sector and individuals, this inspiring program was created. Our appreciation to each supporter, who, through their generous contribution will assist Queen Elizabeth Scholars as they become the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, inventors and leaders.
The Queen Elizabeth Scholars program is led by the Rideau Hall Foundation in collaboration with Universities Canada, with founding support from Community Foundations of Canada.
