Mi&rsquo;kmaw Kina&rsquo;matnewey a atteint cet objectif gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une gouvernance collaborative, une planification efficace, une influence strat\u00e9gique et une \u00e9ducation transformatrice des enseignants mi&rsquo;kmaq. Le r\u00e9sultat a \u00e9t\u00e9 un milieu propice \u00e0 la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la culture, de la langue et de l\u2019identit\u00e9 mi\u2019kmaq, tout en atteignant des r\u00e9sultats scolaires qui d\u00e9passent de loin les moyennes nationales pour l\u2019\u00e9ducation dans les r\u00e9serves et \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur des r\u00e9serves.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-40baaba elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"40baaba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u00c0 propos de l\u2019innovateur<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f64eb3a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f64eb3a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Les r\u00e9alisations de Mi\u2019kmaw Kina\u2019matnewey sont r\u00e9sum\u00e9es dans un extrait du Handbook of Indigenous Education (2019), \u00ab En 2010, l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e des Premi\u00e8res Nations a renouvel\u00e9 l\u2019appel pour que les Premi\u00e8res Nations contr\u00f4lent l\u2019\u00e9ducation des Premi\u00e8res Nations, une vision qu\u2019elles avaient expos\u00e9e pour la premi\u00e8re fois pr\u00e8s de 40 ans auparavant. Bien que de nombreuses communaut\u00e9s autochtones et organisations communautaires au Canada travaillent encore \u00e0 cet id\u00e9al, Mi\u2019kmaw Kina\u2019matnewey (MK), un collectif de communaut\u00e9s mi\u2019kmaq en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, se distingue comme un exemple unique de la vision accomplie. Avec des taux d\u2019obtention de dipl\u00f4me d\u2019\u00e9tudes secondaires qui varient de 85 % \u00e0 90 % par ann\u00e9e \u2013 plus du double du taux d\u2019obtention de dipl\u00f4me pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones du reste du pays \u2013 MK est sans aucun doute le syst\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9ducation autochtone le plus efficace au Canada. \u00bb Le r\u00e9sultat a \u00e9t\u00e9 un milieu propice \u00e0 la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 de la culture, de la langue et de l\u2019identit\u00e9 mi\u2019kmaq, tout en atteignant des r\u00e9sultats scolaires qui d\u00e9passent de loin les moyennes nationales pour l\u2019\u00e9ducation dans les r\u00e9serves et \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur des r\u00e9serves. En 2019, le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a reconnu la communaut\u00e9 mi&rsquo;kmaq en tant que chef de file au pays en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9ducation autochtone en signant un accord de 10 ans sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation d\u2019une valeur de 600 millions de dollars. La ministre des Relations Couronne-Autochtones, Carolyn Bennett, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que ce \u00ab succ\u00e8s extraordinaire \u00bb peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation en 1997 de l\u2019autorit\u00e9 de scolaire mi&rsquo;kmaq. \u00ab Lorsque nous nous r\u00e9unissons pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le succ\u00e8s de MK, nous donnons en fait l\u2019exemple au pays \u2013 et au monde.
