The Governor General’s Innovation Awards are an annual celebration of innovations that exemplify excellence and help improve the quality of life in Canada and around the world.
The Governor General’s Innovation Awards (GGIA) recognizes Canada’s highest level of achievement in innovation. The purpose of the GGIAs is to inspire Canadians to embrace innovation and to emulate innovative, entrepreneurial risk-takers who have developed new or better ways of creating value and who are having a meaningful impact on our quality of life. Led by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG) and the Rideau Hall Foundation, the GGIAs recognize and celebrate trailblazers who help shape our society and our future, and who inspire the next generation of innovators.
