Dorothy Melville Hsia

Dr. Dorothy Hsia Melville is a secondary educator and union leader based in Ontario. They serve as Vice President of the province’s second largest district teachers union. They have led province-wide professional learning on human rights and have advised on education-related policy and systemic equity initiatives. A former primary health care practitioner, equity resource teacher, and conflict mediator, they are recognized for bringing a principled, collaborative, and humanistic approach to problem solving. In their personal life, Dorothy enjoys immersing in the beauty of nature, movement, and the creation of art.
